Pheadrus29: From what I remember, wheel/strut clearance should remain a static value unless you lose the bearings in the hub or something else catastrophic causes distortion. So if you have clearance between the strut and wheel it doesn't change. This does not mean that you have clearance with regard to the wheel well, so you still need to verify that aspect, which is dynamic.
I agree with everyone, if that shop didn't clear those modifications with you prior to install, they should be offering your money back. Back when I owned my shop, I would've fired someone if they'd tried to sneak a hack job like that out on a customer's car, and would've offered a refund and made it right.

Just did the Rce / koni yellow install with the com-c's. had to take them off tonight was having some popping if you will. The bearings in the com-c's are notchy to the touch and rough. I have the new sets not sure what the issue is.

All of the other issues mentioned in this thread have been directly related to the Whiteline Com-C top mounts and Whiteline rear camber bushings and have nothing to do with the springs.

I think elopez misunderstood the install shop's blunder with the whiteline bushes for RCE installing Yellows on a customer's car... I don't know how but that's what it feels like.

Yup, I remember that. We worked through that a long time ago and we don't sell the whiteline com c top mounts thanks to mecha's feedback and others. It took us a little to get all the details to get there since whiteline usually is all quality.
Let me know if you have any questions about the springs. - andy |

Just to be clear here.....
The RCE Yellow springs are easy to install and DO NOT make noise. Period. Installed correctly (like any other spring) they are SILENT. The Whiteline COM-C top mounts do make noise. We do not sell them anymore based on the feedback in this thread and others. We do not recommend them. The Whiteline rear camber adjustment bushings should be installed by a professional shop that knows what they are doing! It is not a straightforward install....for an easier rear camber solution get lower control arms. Short version: RCE Yellow springs good. ComC mounts noisy. WL rear camber bushings pain in the ass to install. ![]() - Andy |

Wow..I'd be irked to no end if they did that ghetto'ness on my car.
Post that pic on their Yelp and give them a bad review - make em pay and warn others to not go there. |

Would a few of you RCE Yellow users mind providing me with a measurement from the ground to the edge of your fender wells? I know the ideal measurement is from center of hub to the fender, but I'm just looking for a rough measurement and could not find this information with the forum's search feature or Google.
I also know that the advertised drop is 20mm, but if you wouldn't mind humoring me and giving me a few measurements for the front and back fenders, I'd appreciate it. It would be preferable if you were using tires with stock diameter (215/45/17 or 245/40/17). Thanks! Last edited by jprice130; 02-07-2014 at 06:57 PM. |

But I think a more accurate way to measure would be from center of wheel to fender |
