You're mistaken... It took them weeks for SoA to finally decide to replace our 1st engine, while it was taking up a service bay.

I'm pretty sure the dealer was unhappy about that.

Dealers deal with that all the time. Did you get the CSI questionnaire yet?

Nothing but high marks for Irvine Subaru. They've been excellent to work with.

The hammer ultimately comes down from SoA.

If the dealer did the job correctly the catalyst should have been checked out during the engine replacement. See if the service manual mentions checking the catalyst in the event of an engine failure.

Oh so we can get one defective replacement engine and that's what you consider a warranty?

Lol.. There is no reason to discuss this with you since you think everything about this car is defective.

Don't put words in my mouth, sorry you have trouble holding even small technical concepts. Good luck.

Dude you are almost wanting your engine to fail... You are so paranoid I wouldn't be surprised if you already have your funeral planned.

This has nothing to do about technical concepts. If it did, you wouldn't be involved. It has to do with your pessimistic outlook on everything related to this car. Your complaining about evrything from having to use premium fuel to the car blowing up at 60k miles and evrything in between. You piggyback on someone else's engine failure and assume its contagious somehow. Trying to assure everyone that catastrophic failure is imminent for all. How the OEM doesn't know anything about building engines or tuning them. How the warranty is worthless... How the car wont last 200K miles like a Yaris.. Etc.. On and on it goes.. At least there is some entertainment value in your read.. Not much else... Enjoy...

A couple of years ago my cat crapped out on my tC even though i had CAI and cat back. I was within the warranty period so Scion covered it, no questions asked.

Obviously there wasn't a catastrophic engine failure to go along with the failed cat, but its pretty shitty of subbie to give the OP the finger like that.

I'm part of a small business lawsuit right now and the bills start to pile up quick. I think it was $30k before we even set foot in a court room just in fees. I'm sure Subaru knows this and is betting once the OP gets some quotes that he'll back down. Just my thought anyway.

Shame Shame Subbie, shame shame.

Why do I now feel like aftermarket parts for our car is 100000 times better then stock parts? Everyone seems to have problems with oem stuff. I've been swapping out all exhaust parts and I feel like headers is now a definite.

Good thing I got my tune early I guess before subaru/toyotas tune blew up my car....

The car was designed to accommodate the aftermarket in mind. Perhaps this is the feeling you are experiencing right now?
