First post.

I'm trying to decide whether I should jump on a 2013 or wait for the 2014. It would seem that I'm not alone.

I came across this article today and when I first read it I was pretty excited. It seemed like the first real news in a while.

www.torquenews.com/1084/subaru-advancing-2014-forester-and-brz-china-market

My first impression was, awesome they're going to unveil the 2014 BRZ in a week and we'll know what all has been changed. But on closer inspection the "2014" is always associated with the forester and it's ambiguous which BRZ they're talking about. Now that I've read it again I'm thinking they're just talking about the 2013.

What do you guys think?

Get the one you want as soon as you can. I've been waiting for over a year to get one and let me tell you: waiting sucks!!!

Tell me about it. I have already ordered my 2014 Forester and still nothing for the MY 2014 BRZ. I'm hoping that the early reports are inaccurate and that a few more options will be available in 2014 like the BRZs here in Japan. For instance back up camera is an option here.

I will be heading back to the US in Jan/Feb and will look forward to driving the BRZ everyday.

Cheers,

-Nate

I say wait for the 2014, at the very least it will see a few improvements.

If only GBS was available on the 2014, I would be holding off. Tracking a GBS down at the moment. If it doesn't pan out, I'll be easily grabbing a 2014 DGM as its so close to release.

I pre-ordered 2014 BRZ limited and just hoping on these being fixed (from the most important first):
-direct injection seals issue
-chirp issue

-light condensation
-any rattles
The HP is just fine with me, noone cancelled SC/TC options if I'll need more down the road. Torque dip would be a nice fix but I'm okay if it's still there, it can soon be greatly reduced by the Nameless header+exhaust and a proper tune.
Either way can't wait to get my car, I'm the first on the list at my dealership and estimated delivery is mid-end october

Sigh. There are so many threads about this.

Congratulations on your order.

Congratulations on your order, I too hope that all known issues are resolved in the 2014. I have not yet been able to place my order for my BRZ because it has not populated in the system yet. I wonder how others are able to order already?

Cheers,

-Nate

I ordered mine the beginning of this month. I believe most dealerships should be able to order it from their system around this time... They said the ETA for the car should be around end of September/beginning of October.

I just got word from my dealership that they will most likely not get 2014 deliveries until JAN/FEB 2014. It actually works better for me as I will be returning to the US around that timeframe.

Congrats again on your new BRZ, I cannot wait to receive mine.

Thanks man! Hopefully we all get our cars sooner than later, yeah I actually just got my VON order number yesterday, says the ETA for delivery will be around December, not in a hurry to get the car though!

So did the 2014 get TGV's (tumbler generator valves) as some had speculated and/or feared? The 2014 Forester FA engines (NA and turbo both) have them, and the 2015 WRX will have them also.

That is what I did, I decided the GBS was the one so pulled the trigger on Halloween for a 6 speed limited
