I want a white TRD, but with a few changes…
Front aero like on the Gazoo car. Wicked. Carbon fiber roof like on the BRZ STi. Rotrex supercharger kit (label it TRD & include a warranty & I will pay the 'tax'…) OZ wheels, the forged centerlocking hub ones… In black… Sweet… Oh, and what we really need is more info on the underhood going-ons of the 600hp FR-S drift car…! |

Am I the only person that thinks the AS1 looks better without these lip kit? I think Greddy FRS is way better looking than all these cars and all they used was rims and coilovers. I will do something similar to Greddy but the only differences will be lightweight 18'' wheels instead and the TRD lip spoiler. My car will be the anti-rice with a clean sleak look.

Technically purists mentality would say TRD kit isnt rice because its full factory performance and the look doesnt disturbed the eyes. TRD is clean and does not go against the purist bible. :-D all parts are functional and fits the form.

How do we know the kit is functional? Any experts care to chime in?

It would not drastically create additional downforce like a front splitter or rear diffuser with channels that extend down. But it does have some extensions on the front lip to channel air on top of. The air channeling on top would act to push the front end down. Hard to tell with the rear. Need a shot of the underside to see how far that diffuser goes under. If not that far, a simple panel would turn it into a decent stabilizer for the rear. |
