He did in fact blow his engine due to an improper turbo install.

The 370Z's original base model MSRP was under 30k. Didn't read every post but does anyone else remember this?

Granted I don't know how different the features were between then and now, nor do I care to. The car is beautiful and also powerful. But it's just too heavy for my tastes.

Edit: Also the VQ37 is the nicest sounding mass produced V6's I have ever heard.

I'm sure most of us are aware (I am), however that was back in 2008; 5 years ago.

This somehow slipped my mind. VQ37 is third. The first two are both the jag F-type V6. Jaguar could release an itunes track of that engine note and I'd buy it.

I think the 370Z price cut makes the FRS look overpriced. I know the FRS have a backseat and a LSD standard but the Z has an all aluminum suspension without macstruts, carbon fiber ds, aluminum hood, doors, and trunk and a engine with 133/hp120/tq more standard. I think the only thing Nissan needs to work on is making the Z 300~350 lbs lighter at the same price with the same power output or slightly less through a 2l turbo.

With all that lightweight material already in the Z, I don't think it's easy to just "drop it a few hundred pounds". They just need a new chassis, not something shared with the infiniti boats.

Nissan still hasn't dropped the Canadian price: "starting at $40,978", $48k with the sport package and nav

Base C7 Corvette here is $53k - Ummmhh... which to buy??

They must sell 10 370s a year up here...
