Do you think its just oil temp related? How are the "slim fans" working with this kit? Is it keeping the coolant temp in check? I wan't this kit for year round daily driving, but the heat issue keeps turning me off and back to the Innovate kit...

I think any issues are easily solved by adding the big radiator by FBM or Koyo and by adding an oil cooler.

These two items would also probably be needed running the supercharger as well.

OK, I'm very close to pulling the trigger. I need help totalling the costs.

When I option out the stage 1 base and premium kits, there's a pretty big difference. Why would I opt for the premium kit? I went to the site, and with the "X" turbo, boost controller, ECUtech license and cable, which appears to put both kits pretty close to the same thing, there's a difference of well over $1000.

I'm also looking at getting a clutch ($600), an oil cooler ($600), radiator ($300), oil catch can ($100-$150) exhaust ($1000), what else am I going to need to get?

Do I need an electric boost controller? What about the 3 or 4bar MAF?

I want to order everything i need so my shop can install and tune my car in one shot.

Thanks for any help,

Mike

AC Issues

Hey guys i've got over 2000 on my turbo from full blown and i've noticed at times when i'm at a red light that my AC blows warm. Is this a common problem, and if so what can I do to fix this? At this time I have no heat wraps or blanket on my kit. If there is anything I can do please inform. I've had the shop check everything and they say it's all ok. I live in WPB, Fl where we get really hot and humid so AC is a must. Thanks.

Full Blown Turbo Kit Owners Topic

Premium has better parts in it. The manifold is hand made out of much thicker material, the bov and wastegate are higher quality and the turbo is the gtx series not the gt. that's not to say the base kit is bad, hell I have it on my car. Clutch is pretty much mandatory and I'd do the rad for sure, I just have a manual boost controller but u can do an electronic one.

That is normal unfortunetly. The slim fans/combined with all that turbo heat in the area are not able to pull enough cool air across the A/C condensor to cool the air. The best thing you can try is to upgrade the fans or add some on the front of the condensor to try and push more air. A thicker radiator will not help this as it just places the fans even further from the A/C condensor. I am still hoping that @FullBlown will come up with a better solution.

My buddy yesterday informed me of how fast the Tesla Model S is. I didn't realize that it was running 12s and could blow the doors off my turbo BRZ.
