225 is the widest i would go on 7" rims for street tires. you can get away
with 245 R compound tires because the sidewalls are so stiff but the
extreme summer tires just don't like being pinched on the wheel.

a well known ST* driver told me that he would choose 215s first for a 7" rim.

i guess that's why they invented testing...

I think the 370Z has a good chance, especially with the right driver and setup. We have 2 local 370Z's that have been very successful. 1 in CS and 1 in RTR. The CS car has won trophies at several tours/pros. The RTR car has been doing really good locally.
Like you said there isn’t a lot of data on street tires. The 370Z is a beast and although it’s heavy, it has the power and tire. 19x9 and 19x10 wheels I think and that's a whole lot of tire. Tire choices are limited in street tires and pricy $$$, the main reason many haven’t tested them out.

Yeah, 19x9 and 19x10 and I think at least the Z2 comes in the 245/275 stock size. Nice flat torque curve, good power, and really good gearing, especially on street tires (I think 2nd tops out at 68). And Z's always seem to be able to perform better than their specs would indicate. Of all the cars remaining in the proposed C Street the Z does seem like an outlier.

Should be interesting to see.

Yes Z2's and RS3's are available in that size. Currently the RTR car here runs RE11's

The +/- 1" wheel diameter change for next year will increase the tire size selection and may benefit them, too.

Anyone else disappointed with their lack of local competition in C Street next year? All of our regular RTR and C Stock cars are getting reclassed to either B or E. I have one semi-regular regular NC MX5 competitor and I usually raw time that car when it's on RComps.

I'm going to be forced to run our local Pro (X) class just for some competition (and then I'm going to have a national winning STX E36 and Trophying MSR wiping the floor with me). Or just run STX since I finish within .1 second (sometimes ahead, sometimes behind) on all STX cars around except that E36

So far it doesn't look too bad for C Street in my area next year. There's still a good number of people who can run in the class, but I'll see if they plan to stay there.

In Central Florida Region, there are no RX8s, no Zs and only one non-MSR NC MX-5. No other stock twins come out to play regularly.

There are a ton of RX8s who run in ATL, both in CS and STX. Also quite a few NC MX5s and a couple 370zs. I would say CS and STX are the two largest classes overall between pro and normal classes. I am still debating between STX and CS.

My area is mostly GS ESP and STR cars when it comes to competitive driving (then a bunch of open wheelers that I understand nothing about)

Don't count me out. I plan to run C Street next year. As for the immediate future I'll come out a run as much as my schedule will allow in STX.
Are you not running Brooksville on the 18th?

Haha sorry, I forgot about your car since I just ran into you the once at Brooksville. I'll be out there.

How's the weather adjustment going for you? Also, I forgot where you moved to, are you running more CFR schedule when you can or you just do Brooksville dates?

When it comes to Brooksville, I'll have an RX8 to run against, but he only does Brooksville events (CFR-wise)

I'm near Clearwater. I'll probably just run Brooksville when I can, but would like to get to Orlando sometime. Weather is hot, especially when standing on a taxiway all day.

Can anyone tell me how to import video from my gopro in to Solo Storm? Mike is out this weekend and I can't figure it out to save my life. Post production in imovie is not really working out for me.

Edit: if this font is huge please excuse
