This is pretty basic stuff guys..
Since we've had the Support Console Ticket system we have always a tune changelog. The point of the changelog is so that everyone can see what's changing the base tune without having to email or PM me.. we support A LOT of customers. Our system only allows 3 items in each section to be listed on the main page, if you want to see the other you'll need to click on that section. The support console very much like this forum allows you to subscribe to email alerts when sections or updated. If your interested in staying up-to-date I would suggest sub'ing announcements. Quote:
As of right now I'm the only person that can send tune updates out and we are working with EcuTek to make that a problem of the past very soon. 90% of the support console tickets are people that have cars that are running perfectly well and would like the lastest FREE update, I don't shed any tears for those people. OF COURSE I wish I could respond to every ticket the moment it comes in, but I can't always do that. I spend countless hours on my tunes.. so if you've purchased my STG1, STG2, Vortech, Innovate, HKS, Greddy tune don't be surprised if the log 'looks great'. Most of the time is does.. and when it doesnt, it's because there's a mechanical problem with the car.. like pump install problem or intercooler pipe coming off. I would never offer a tune package that I don't have a proven calibration for.. and that calibration doesn't differ too much from car to car.. unless your turbo and on top of a mountain or have crappy gas John |

I received my updated tune. Should I produced another log file the first time I take the car or after 1-2 weeks of use?

I have found the following which was suggested by a memeber here which was suggest by Perrin I think to work to get rid of "dead pedal" as people call it. After you start for the first time and let it idle for 5-10 minutes, turn the car back off. Switch to the on position, but don't turn it over. Fully press the pedal down and release fully 20 times. Turn the ignition to off. Repeat. Before I started doing this I would have a couple days of laggy throttle response. Now that I do this, throttle response seems to always be spot on and doesn't change over time. It is what it is supposed to be in the tune.

Basic stuff for who? New to the game people will have no idea without detailed instructions. People that have received tunes from other vendors expect a base tune and instructions with the kit. Not my poor planning. It was a lack of communication on your part. You don't feel our pain because you can walk out to your car any time you want and tune it yourself. Your process is easy for you, because you get it. I get it better now, but a lot of pain was involved in getting there...and I still see a lot of people on here that don't get it either. You don't "always" give a change log. I don't see anything pre-7/22 for FI cars, but I appreciate you changing that now. What is the defined line for "high" or "normal" priority tickets? I assume that if my car is running, it's considered "normal" however, you make it sounds like maybe datalogs can be "high" priority too? It's very obvious that you support a lot of customers and you seem to take more on all the time. Meanwhile us existing customers are waiting longer than average for tunes, updates or questions answered (and I loosely define answered). I'm not saying reply to every ticket immediately, but maybe have a posting on the submission page of current expected wait times for "high" and "normal" priority. The truth may hurt in this case, but it hurts less if there is a metaphorical progress bar. Plus, it motivates you to stick to that timeline. Also, if your tunes are so spot on, why not include them with the ordered kit? Good advice, I will sub the announcements section. All said, and I think I've made my point. A little extra effort on creating effective lines of communication with your customers goes a long way. Thanks for listening. |

WOW!
John....all I have to say is thank you for your knowledge and talent for what you do. It amazes me how everything is someone else's fault when one thing goes wrong. Props to you for being the guy that all major companies are turning to for their tuning needs when it comes to these cars. I have had no problems at all with my tune, I dread times when I flash back to stock for trips where I run reg gas instead of e85 (only have the e85 tune). My question is: Does everyone that is having a high speed come apart about any small problem do the same thing to their dealership when they have an issue with their car that is in no way related to their tune? I have had a ton of crap go wrong with my car that had to be fixed at the dealer, and never once cried. I just take it and get it fixed simple. If I ever had an issue with my tune I have no doubts that John will fix any issue I have and trust him long before I would trust anyone else. I have a feeling that a lot of times people would blame an aftermarket company that built their turbo system for a failed stock clutch or something. Welcome to the world of modding a car. If you are to soft to deal with problems then maybe you should not mod a car, I hear walking is pretty problem free and healthy too. ![]() Again THANKS JOHN VISCONTI!!! I appreciate what you do. |

Any chance you could translate this in to English please?
