Hey that's not bad for only 12 panels! I wonder how expensive 24 panels would be on my place! Mmmm the possibilities

This many panels, this is a shot of my neighbors roof and they have the same house we do. Also that's their master bedroom window so I'm officially creepy.

Other things factor in like if it's too hot they don't generate as much as if it's just nice and sunny out. Also it's entirely possible they need to be hosed off. It may have been dusty up there for a long time, rain might have washed it off but it's still likely that it's covered in a layer of dirty rainwater spots. We also run something like eight computers all the time so if our actual energy usage was lower the solar offset would of course account for a higher percentage of it. Meritage actually claims that their smallest home in this development breaks even at free for energy every year, generating enough surplus in the winter to offset the higher summer months.

Also our cars are neat (on topic).

Any reason NOT to bring a multi-rotor to the coffee meet for aerial photography.....other than flying over that area may not be a good idea?

Mine was setup by http://www.echofirst.com/ if that helps (via Meritage partnership). I get a handy online readout thing too that shows all the generation stats and also allows me to adjust my thermostat.

I will bring the AR Drone 2, its cell phone controlled but has a HD camera and can do video......for bigger events I have a much larger one, but there are legal issues with flying it near crowds / structures.....the AR is small enough not to be too much of an issue unless the wind is high.

How much WiFi is at the Coffee location, the AR Drone links using WiFi and too much WiFi interference may be an issue
