For kicks I'm thinking of de-badging mine to something else but I'm just not entirely sure I want the Toyota badges. I live in Arizona and I see far too many cowboy hats as it is. :P However since mine light up I'm not sure how easy it'd be. What'd be cool though is if I could replace the badge with something else that would still light up. Think "bat signal" though I wouldn't do batman.

Yeah every time I mention that my car is from Scion, everyone is like always like "who?" or "what is that?". Better with Toyota emblems anyways.

i went pump gas like 3 days ago and was surrounded by like 6-7 people, most of them from a utility truck but it was different. they said they never seen anything like this and asked for pictures, salary, how much i paid, etc xD.

Nice... Are you getting the back up / fog lights to match the rear lights?

I don't have mine re-badged, but I do have a story about it. My little brother has mild case of autism (he's high functioning, just struggles with some stuff) and I had explained the different models to him before because he still questions absolutely everything. I had told him that the Toyota 86/GT86 was only an international model, and only the Scion and Subaru were here.

Well, one day he comes in all smug and says, "You told me that the Toyota GT86 was only an international model but I saw one today. They have them here too!" So then I had to explain the concept of rebadging to him a few times while insisting Toyota had not released the GT86 here. I'm not sure he got it in the end, though.

You could just tint it, and put brighter bulbs in

That pretty much is the exact convo i had with the car salesman. I still dont think he fully understood that the 86 was the international model.

You can get a genuine Toyota GT-86 badge from the burrowsmotorcompany Toyota dealership in England) on eBay for around $30.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350826229752?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1497.l2649

better than paying $100 or whatever some websites are charging
