For what you've stated I'd suggest Racecomp Engineering springs, front camber bolts, and possibly front control arm bushings. If you get an alignment and the rear camber isn't even then you should look into a way to correct that, but I think you should leave it until then. |

I'm going to have to say that I agree with most of the above posts... Starting with a rear sway bar is an odd place to start for these cars. Not the worst place to start if you have an audi though.
I would really go with what other people say and recommend a quality set of springs that matches your goals. I went with RCE Yellow springs myself, but I wanted a neutral handling car. You could look at Swift or some other options if you want different handling characteristics than the RCE Yellows provide. I would say that the alignment matters quite a bit on the FT86 platform. Small changes in alignment have given significant changes in handling. I am currently running about -1.3 front camber, -1.2 rear camber, 0 front toe, and just a slight toe in on the rear. This, combined with RCE yellow springs has given me an excellent handling and very predictable car. I'm running the inexpensive SPC rear control arms in the rear, as well as crash bolts up front to even out my camber. With only crash bolts, I could only get about -.9 front camber (and had some rubbing), so I added the whiteline top hats to get more negative front camber and clearance for my wheels. I'd recommend staying away from the top hats till they get some issues worked out. Rear control arms and crash bolts are all you should need to even out your camber. You could also try the whiteline camber replacement bushings for the rear. I have a set, but never installed them. The install process was a serious PITA since I could not find a shop locally willing to deal with it. |

I'd suggest taking your advice from fellow BRZ/FRS owners, but even that will vary widely. Better yet, try to find some other BRZ/FRS owners in your area with suspension modifications and get rides in their cars to see what feels right to you. You could also go to a local autocross, there should be a number of twins there, and most owners will welcome ride-alongs. We usually have at least half a dozen at our autocrosses, with everything from bone stock to heavily modified suspension.
Personally I added a front bar only to my BRZ, and was very pleased with the improvements in feel and handling. Did the same to my Mustang and Miata. My Mini is getting a rear only bar, and I've done just rear bars to other FWD cars in the past.
