Why do you even want to switch the sway bars? You say that you are a complete noob to this stuff. Do you know how sway bars effect the car? Are you considering springs as well? Sway bars should be the last thing on your list.

You definitely don't want to swap out just the rear sway bar. Doing so will upset the balance of the car. This isn't a front heavy FWD car that needs help rotating, it's a well balanced RWD car.

As stated above: why?
With just a rear bar, you're may get over your head in a corner & end up backwards in the woods...

i figured getting new sway bars would avoid that! So from what i'm reading, just stick with the stock sway bars? any help and recommendation would be greatly appreciated guys!

Any particular reason for wanting to get coilovers? And these "people" you mention, do they drive civics? I wouldn't take anymore advice from them.

They drive audi's ... and in there mind .. they feel i should be able to glide peacefully into a corner .... i really don't see what they mean about all that.. just recommended *HIGHLY* that i swap out the rear sway .. but hearing from actualy owners i shouldn't ..... i'm go with you guys.. and for the coilovers i want to lower the car a bit but with the comfort for DD.

I was not trying to offend your peeps. i was just trying to make a point.
Getting coilovers is a serious involvement. From what I have read, coilovers change nearly all of your alignment settings unless you retain the stock top mounts. If you aren't tracking, just stick with springs. Good springs are miles better than shirty coilovers. How much of a drop are you looking for?

As for springs/coilovers, if you're only looking for about an inch drop, get quality springs. Cheap coilovers can ride much worse than they need to and could make you hate driving your car.
