Like he said its more personal.. Yes I'm biased cuz I'm usin his kit and my buddy is using fbm kit that's y I personally seen it the kit myself not just pictures so not fully biased lol... But tony also broke records I'm siting on one right now
! From 5 psi to 16psi beats all the kits this far !!! But this not the thread to go back and fourth and this is a very controversial and will never end let the NUMBER AND TRACK TIMES do the talking lol

At the end of the day it's up to each owner to decide what's right for them. Price vs quality vs proximity (before anyone gets upset, I'm not naming other kits as not being quality).

I can easily go on the dyno run 20psi and break records but at what cost it's not like I'm driving it at that level ... Right now I'm abusing 12-16 psi and abusing the hell out of it and will be at the track to prove numbers and ill up it agin after another few thousand miles

So I've been off this forum for a while since I haven't been up to too much new with my ride, but I figured i would give an update with my P&L kit on my car. I just ticked over 18k miles on my FR-S with 14k of that boosted. I'm still only running 8psi but i drive the shit out of this thing, I've had it over 160mph (on GPS) and the thing just goes like stink.
I originally went with P&L because everything else looked chintzy...not to mention that when i ordered mine Accelerated Performance and P&L were the only two companies offering kits. I also liked the turbo they chose. The Precision Turbo 5558 is a pretty damn good choice, spools quick, has v-band mounting, and the air cooled ceramic bearings are quite nice. Being one of the first kits had some headaches associated with it (no instructions for one..) but in the end the build quality is second to none, the coatings are amazing, and the fitment was spot on. The only gripe i have is that cleaning the damn air filter requires removal of the front end to even get at it. Not fun in Phoenix when it's 120 damn degrees out. |

Those numbers mean something because they were verified at a track with timing equipment. Base pressure trapped 106-107 at 5.5-6psi and 8psi trapped 109-110. I know that the AUTO kit @16-17psi traps 124mph. I'm a visual person too, I like to see track times.. Those tell the truth about what you ACTUALLY make for power. Jr |

How much does a set PSI at a power level matter anyway? I think real-world performance, response, and reliability matter. PSI and dyno WHP won't really tell you any of that.

which kit you choose should have more to do with where you're located than anything else. local support and the availability of real tuning (i.e. not etuning) is the most important thing. the other differences between the kits (aside from turbo selection) are largely immaterial.

Florida hasn't been that bad, although it does rain pretty often. The guys at AWD managed to make it to the track a few times this summer and run there low 9s car, I cant imagine the weather is going to hurt an 11sec car that bad. Good luck skipping 14-13-12-11s and going right into the 10s |
