I just got mine clear bra'd (how the heck do you spell that?!).
Derek in Canton (just north of Atlanta) did a fantastic job with it.

Gotta admit though, it makes me think of this:

came across this Ferrari pic with a complete body clear-bra while researching Xpel ultimate. It fared a bit better than the couch IMHO. LOL

I actually did my whole car, but I install it daily at work, so I didn't pay nearly as much lol. Fully covered in Xpel Ultimate, so no staining, swirl marks or anything like that.

My current plan is Xpel Ultimate treatment to the bumper, full fenders and hood. Figure that's going to cost me close to $1k. Would love to do the full body, but $$$$!

Your machine looks fantastic judging from your avatar.

I just did partial hood, fender, side mirrors, bumper, and luggage area for $622 including tax ($599 or $600 w/o tax) with Xpel Ultimate.
I guess the full hood and fenders might add another $500 on there. The partial looks great though, can't say I'd see a $500 reason to go with the full hood and fenders.

I did the full hood, full fenders, bumper, headlamps, luggage area, and sideview mirror backings for $999 with 3M scotchgard paint protection film. The protex self-healing kit would have cost me $1699 so I went with scotchgard.

I'm gonna drive it and if a rock nicks it my daughter has black nail polish. The money saved goes for snow tires.

How does the Silver Ignition paint look with the clear bra? Does it still have the effect of different lighting showing different tints in the paint, or is it locked into one effect due to the lack of UV light etc from the clear bra?

Looks the same to me. You can only see the line of the clear bra if you are looking for it and looking fairly closely.

FYI I work at a Toyota Body shop and we use PPG paint. There is no breakdown for mixing the paint code yet. Keeps saying 1J8 is an old Nissan code.

AKA no painting can be done...
