It takes alot of hp to get up to speed quickly, break traction and keep 265mm sticky tires smoking. 200hp is perfect for drift days just not pro competition. I can't wait for the D1GP guys to build one. Check out what Team orange does with the rwd sti's

i think this shows they don't know their demographic.

Remember this from a year ago? I wonder if Papadakis Racing will premiere theirs next.

Exactly. We have the 86/GT86, the FR-S, the BRZ, the FR-S Formula Drift, the BMW GT300, we'll yet have the BRZ Black Edition, the 86 TRD, the FR-S 5Axis Edition, the BRZ STI and yet no price.

Wink

Is this drift car the SECOND "race car" built off of this platform? GT300 BRZ being the first...

Can we expect a drag car? Or better yet...an FIA RGT class rally car! If you look at the RGT rules and Subaru's rally heritage it's almost like they were custom written for the 86 to come and dominate.

Pike's Peak is going to be paved this year. Toyota, Subaru; that's a good place to have your car's picture taken. I'll even drive it for you.

Then there is LSR. How fast can the little car go on the salt? I'd like to see a factory team effort at Bonneville followed by a Red Hat Limited Edition of the car.

Speaking of Limited Editions...the guy that was The Stig on TopGear should be offered a sum of money to use his name on a Stig Limited Edition (all black or all white).

I'm more interested in the one that will be used in D1. This car won't make it far due to the fact that it's not a V8 and Ken Gushi is the driver.

Unfortunately, V8s are the only real way to be competative in FD now, and there's a LARGE skill gap between Ken and a lot of other drivers in FD.

Unfortunately you might be correct. I think the power plant will be proficiant though. Verdier did fine keeping up with this motor in a much heavier chassis.
