RKSport Hood and Xpel Headlight Tint

First I'd like to thank Nathan @ Katy Custom Finishes for working with our Whiteout FR-S.

Here are a couple quick pictures:

We'll be upgrading to the Spyder headlights around SEMA time. That's our estimated time for their release.

Don't be surprised if we retro fit those with HID projectors and / or RGB halos.

EDIT:

Added top mount oil cooler picture.

I think it does work well if modified for a top mount oil cooler. This is right after I installed a setup. Have to go back and wire a relay, tidy up the wires, etc.

NOTE: This oil cooler DOES have a fan. It really sucks :-).

We offer it, but I'd have to start a sales thread to officially move it on the forum.

It does not come in CF. Just fiberglass with gel coat. The painter was satisfied with what he had to work with.

I'm guessing it is 1.5 to 2 times heavier. Unbolt your hood and really check out how light it is if you haven't already! Perhaps a lightweight battery would offset it. It IS light enough that the GrimmSpeed hood struts WILL support it.

Thinking about putting some ducts on the bottom to vent in air to the backside of the Vortech intake and also mount an oil cooler with fan on our Hotchkis STB.

I could actually ask if they're interested in doing that. Not like they haven't done one before.

Yea, I know the stock hood is super light. The one on my '12 mustang was the same way. I'm just wishing I could get a quality vented hood for close to the same weight.

That has a tunnel under the hood where it opens up near the air box, if I remember right. Did you guys modify the Vortech intake to take advantage of the hood scoop?

I've searched before and not come up with too much as far as additional vents for mounting in the stock hood.

For the Camaro we have ZL1 style inserts and hex vents which look like retro style vents.
Those all mount to a stock hoods. Not sure if the integrity of ours would be compromised too much for something like that.

We haven't done any modifications yet. Still waiting for it to cool down a bit. Then I'll buy a variety of ducts and oil cooler for a future weekend project.
