Installed the rear diffuser (from ebay) and ventured into sport mode for the first time. With my wider, grippier tires I can really throw that thing around without much worry. I did get it to hop sideways a couple times in one full throttle left turn though. Not sure what its limits really are with traction off.

Plugged up the sound tube in the interior with the 12v adapter plug from the glovebox. What a HUGE difference! It always felt like the car is all sound and no go, but now what I'm hearing from the engine matches the acceleration.

I did the same and honestly noticed nearly no difference. Still cant understand what people are talking about here, it sounds very slightly quieter in the cabin but thats it for me.

My BRZ is stock and it is very noticeable even when I'm driving like a granny. Only hear the engine without the sound tube growl/burble. |

Perrin Exhaust, but other than that stock. I even had a friend pulling the plug in and out to test it and neither of us noticed much of a difference at all at highway speeds. Tried downshifting while going 70ish and couldnt really tell then either.

I went off-road this weekend. It's a Subaru after all, right? I hit an upright plastic reflector on the side of the road along with some bushes. It's better than running over a boulder, I think.

Kind of a badass battle scar though. What did you think of the BRZ in gravel? I thought mine did really well. Glad it has that big skid plate though. Coming from a WRX on lifted gravel suspension, I may have mis judged the ground clearance a few times

Ha, I cry inside every single time I see it. The car was good on gravel to be honest. Granted, I wasn't going fast. I was able to maneuver it with ease. It would be a lot uglier had I stayed on the gravel as there was a drain pipe several feet from the plastic reflector. |
