I didn't get the impression that they were opposed to negotiating, and he said that previously, they were selling at MSRP (up to a month ago), but they've had a couple BRZ's hit the DC-area at local areas, so there's a little bit of leverage to get a lower price, so I'm pretty happy with my price. My dealer also offered 1.79% financing, too, to boot! |

Anyways, thanks for all the replies guys. As much as possible I want to purchase a BRZ here in the Bay Area, but If it comes down to the wire, I might have to go out of state and go for Clint's offer. This is really a wonderful forum. Really helpful members here. Cheers to all who have helped me. This is for you guys ---> :happy0180: |

I bought from Clint in Colorado, flew in and drove it home to LA. Nothing like breaking in your car driving through beautiful Colorado/Utah. Paperwork with dmv and smog..no problem at all.

Costco Car Buying program is the shit. So is USAA's auto circle/car buying. I used both quotes to get two dealers fighting each other over my business, which even drove up the trade-in value they were offering.
You can not beat internet prices unless you golf with the dealer. I got mine in WA just over invoice, which helps a LOT with sales tax rape here. When I bought my SRT-4, I got it in Germany from the PX dealer just over invoice as well, tax-free, and paid no use tax when I got my California plates. I forget what the time requirement is now, but you might be able to pull the same thing if you buy in Oregon and keep it registered out of state for 1-3 years. |

Just from my experience, if you have the opportunity to buy out of state, I would probably just fly to pick it up and drive it home. I went with the option to ship and it has taken a little longer than I anticipated. Thankfully I had a good friend that would accept the car while I am on vacation.
However, if I chose to pick the car up and drive it home, I could have had it about a week before I left for vacation. That was about 2 weeks ago lol No beef on Clint or the dealership, just didn't realize the wait that would be involved when getting the car shipped. |

Yup. Didn't realize that when I ordered. No biggie really.
Clint is still by far the best way to go when buying a new ride though!

Also buying my BRZ from Clint
![]() Nobody in Norcal would haggle on a Premium BRZ. If Clint wasn't an option, I'd be driving a Focus ST right now instead of the car I've always wanted :P (Focus ST is a great car too, I was super impressed with it, but its no BRZ/FRS) Time to read up on the "how to register a out of state car in California" links in this thread, thanks for that btw

I really don't know how he does it, but none of the dealerships I called and checked out cannot match Clint's offer. |
