Bottom line for me - no test drive = no purchase.
Well it all depends on how u present u self. I'm sure if they see a suscessful well mannered older guy they can assume he isn't here for a joy ride. They see an 18 kid and things prob change u know lol

They can't charge more for the car/options (what few there are) thanks to the no-haggle policy so shadier dealers may end up trying to add on extra BS like this.

My dealer didn't add on any ridiculous fees, fortunately. I won't swallow anything more than $100 total for various fees that I know go straight to the bottom line.

What they did do was make sure the car on the lot had every possible dealer installed extra (trunk mat, 3M film, Bespoke audio). I didn't complain because I wanted most of it, and I was eligible for the $1000 recent graduate rebate. I got the car with extras for $25,600 + Tax.

I believe it's Scion policy to go over the pricing with you and show you the price you're paying is the same price you'd get configuring the car online. They walked through it with me, and there were no unusual fees tacked on.

That's the quote sheet I got from a local dealer here. 29k OTD for a base manual with the appearance/theft, and it's whiteout.

R311- don't buy from there that ridiculous. What's theft protection? Scion offers a security alarm buts its legit. Yelps once if someone touches stays screaming if you don't back away. And I get a cool beep when I lock it from it.

This is why I do like buying in MD. Its illegal for a dealer to charge more than $200 for dealer fees. $699 is a stupid amount of money for filing the paperwork you pay to have filed(paid separately).

Where do you get your info from? About the TrueCar pricing.

Never come back?!?!? Doubtful dealers take precautions they aren't that stupid.

He doesn't mean stealing the car, obviously. He means the tire-kickers, the ones who just want to have some test driving fun and never purchase anything.

Yea that's why I'm still without an FRS. This dealers prices are actually lower than the other local dealer ha. I might try Subaru next just to see if they even try to make a decent deal...

Way a year friend for the 2014s as several of us are, you can save more money up in that time and get a car with less first year nitpick issues.

They let you test drive a Shelby? I know in Washington NO dealers would let you test drive SVT models.

After I got my FR-S I remember learning that some BRZ owners got their cars with deep discounts out of state while all of the ones around here were charging "market adjustment" premiums back in the summer of 2012. Places like Colorado and Montana have huge Subaru dealers that got big allocations of BRZ's but we're having problems selling them because their normal clientele required AWD cars. If I were looking for a BRZ that would be a route I would look into.

Toyota charges us for the destination, not the dealership. If the dealership is paying for it, you are paying for it. You people don't go into pizza hut demanding to pay 1.10 for a cheese pizza (which is what it costs), why do you not let a dealership make a single dime? Quit being cheap.
