I'd say your still pretty lucky. I've owned my car for a little less than 4 months.

Took it to get ceramic tint, paid top dollar....they razer bladed both doors weatherstripping. Got it replaced.

Took the car to the dealership to have the fuel pump replaced. The 20 year old who put it on the lift didnt adjust the feel and put 4 big gouges in the lower side skirt section of the body. they had to take it to a body shop to fix.

Then no more than 2 weeks later (this last weekend) I took the car out of town for the first time, to Tucson for dinner, and it wasn't outside for more than 2 hours and got vandalized by some asshole(s). Brand new Forgestars got ruined on the driver side and there is a 12 inch indention under the driverside door where it looks like someone with steel toed boots went to town on my car. Going in Monday for repairs, same exact panel that had to be repainted by the dealership getting redone not more than a month later.

I've got probably 7 grand in the car all installed myself and I've taken wonderful care of the car, everytime I've handed the keys over to someone its been damaged. I wont even let my girlfriend drive it and I refuse to take it to the dealership for anything but recalls at this point.

Almost not even worth owning a nice car unless you can do all the work yourself or you have an above average dealership servicing you.

Sorry to hear about your luck, I can totally relate. Biggest reason I'm glad I have a garage.

UPDATE:
So, my moms bf who's been in the car game for sometime.. and has had his few share of break ins and outs i guess. told me it was simple. Petty theft, What i initially thought was them going for my gas tank/hood/engine. Wrong. The idiots were trying to get into my trunk! so they kept pulling each and every lever they could find. but couldn't get the trunk to open, so that explains why my hood/gas lid was poped up. Thank scion/toyota for that lovely little trunk button (which i too had a hard time finding the first time i go the car). I ALSO SET UP FOR THIS WEEK. to get a brand new alarm installed. my mom finally let me park my car in her garage for the time being.
