"I drove an FR-S with a TRD exhaust and it was quiet and I hated the sound"

Toyota rep is a salesman, he loves your shit because you do. If you had TRD then he would have been in a car with an invidia and it would have had rattles like an old hay wagon towed by an 8N ford tractor.

I'm so glad I went with a ______, because it's not a ______.

Insert your own car experience and extrapolate it to all the cars on the market. Great sample size.

As for the bad BRZ warranty experience, frankly I'd exhaust every channel possible before posting an ongoing thread on a forum. If I had a problem, I'd vet out every channel possible to resolve the issue, then pass judgment. None of this "vent as I go along" BS, because your pristine experience with Toyota could turn sour on a dime.

Well, clearly the BRZ is a car for fools. It is nowhere nearly as good as the FR-S. The BRZ looks completely different, like a dog's bottom, and not a sexy dog at that. Not a poodle. Nor a schnauzer. Not sexy at all.

Yes, if the OP's transmission fails and Toyota tells him there will be a 2-3 month wait on the part I expect his next thread to be titled "Why I will never buy another Toyota again".

This is what Facebook does to us. It makes us believe that some random personal experience has cosmic significance. It doesn't. We also have a religious-inspired nonsensical belief in symbolism - that some small event somehow stands for the whole. Almost always it does not. The reality is that the FR-S is 95% identical to the BRZ. So our shared experience of the vehicle(s) simply overwhelms any minor differences between them. Another way to look at it is that the difference between the FR-S and BRZ is simply diddly-shit compared to the difference between the twins and any other car on earth.

You all get worked up easily. I'm usually one of the ones who hates threads like these. It was sort of a joke because there are new ones every day and someone I know gives me constant grief that their BRZ is so much better. I just wanted to point out how nice the guy was more than anything. Mods can delete this thread.
