I'm with Burrcold, where did you heard that it was 10mm lower? A google search brought up nothing but this thread also.

Then use common sense to work out why there are different badges.
Life is fn simple if you have problems with the current car and you cannot see where they had to make compromises for the price you pay frs or brz, and you cant deal with it dont buy it, move on to a different car, i am pretty aure the camaro, mustang gt, or genesis come under there own badge, it will help you make your decision easier if you look at those since its far to hard to choose from scion or subaru, for some.
doesnt make much sense.

but i feel like it's natural human biology to be like this and compare this vs. that, even if you work WITH someone you will compare and say you're a better worker than them. It's the same damn job, same pay, same performance.

A quick example I can think of is the LS2 400hp engine they put in the 2005/2006 GTO... its a corvette engine, but vette owners will get jealous that their motor can be had for 1/2 the price, but say the GTO is so much heavier, blah blah blah.

10mm is only .394 inches but it's a tiny difference. I can notice it in the pic. Apparently it's due to the differences in springs and shocks. Search google and there's a thread on this forum about it. Who knows, maybe its 7.5 mm.

I'm an architect and drafter (always having to use my eyes/images) and I was going to say the difference is in bumper design, but no, everything is SLIGHTLY higher in the BRZ... could you notice going down the highway or driving both of them? Hell no.

Then why you reply? It's like coming into a party that you don't like, and letting everyone you know that you don't like it.

I'm a potential FRSBRZ owner and it's still a decision I have to make (as all of you did)

Not quite. VVTL-i is really the comparison to Vtec. It adds the cam lift profile to give that little extra kick at higher rpm.

Unless the ride height is official, I think it's pretty hard to know. The above pic could be a result of difference in tire pressure, ground elevation, etc.

you're a smart man........idk it's VERY close but the ground and tire/wheels look closer to level than the offset of the hood and other lines i drew. It seems the FRS is very very slightly lower. Hell it could even be that that very FRS was more broken in than the BRZ, who knows

The biggest difference is the fender badges/inserts.... way off

dunno how you guys havnt seen this cause my first question was... frs or brz... http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2998

previous poster was right. i was going to put this into a program to check it out but it's obvious, the top most yellow line is NOT even with the background building lines in the image. Obviously the FRS will look lower

Specs on Subaru and Scion US websites are identical for length, width, height, ground clearance, etc.

Umm the subaru is closer to us while the frs is closer to the wall you can tell by the bottom line, its a difference of perspective not ride height, pretty sure they said they went with standard clearance for most cars.

question for frs/brz owners, is it worth lowering the car one inch or is it low enough, they don't have much of a wheel gap but at the same time i dont want to go low and get the 'slammed' look.

I've been into Datsun 240Zs for years for all the above reasons. One of the first things I'd do when I picked up a 240 was to remove the sound system and AC.
