Yeah 3M is far more noticeable than Xpel. Get Xpel if you really want to protect your paint while making it look like there's nothing there to protect it.

Well, this wasn't what I did, but what some negligent driver did to my FR-S last Friday. Driving thru an intersection, had the green light, with 16 seconds left on the pedestrian clock, 20 feet ahead of me and to my right, a man was walking/crossing in the same direction as I was. As I crossed the intersection, just saw this Black Prius at the corner of my left eye hurtling at 45 MPH, I just braced for it, and it t-boned me. Car was thrown 25 feet and spun 180 degrees. I didn't hear nor see any skid marks from somebody trying to frantically break/stop a car, I guess the other driver was distracted doing something else.

Insurance just called today, said it was likely to be deemed a total loss. I came out ok, almost unscathed except for the whiplash. I do have to say, that FR-S saved me from serious injury, and for that I'm very grateful to Toyota/Subaru.

I'm thinking of getting a second e36 M3 instead, and would probably wait for the MCR (mid-cycle refresh) of the FR-S before buying it again. As much as I love it, could still use a bit more torque and wider wheels as OEM

Glad you're okay! Impressive looking at the car and knowing you only have whiplash. Sucks for the car though, what a shame really!

Bought a Super Nintendo (in need of some nostalgia) off my buddy instead of going to get my broken exhaust tip bolt removed. Maybe in a couple more weeks...
