Took the car for a long highway cruise down the shore. Was shocked when I flipped the display over to what the avg. MPG was. 6-speed with 1800 miles. The first pic is at cruise, and the second was once I got there, the "city" driving brought it down a tad, but still very impressed.

Envious. I was at 24-ish, then installed an intake and exhaust and am now at 27-ish. Damn CA traffic, LOL. >_<

Keep in mind the average on the display is usually quite generous. Whatever that number is, you typically have to subtract 1-3mpg for the real world. If you really want to know, you can track it manually. Still solid numbers though.

Yeah I heard that the average display is a little off. The first couple tanks I did the manual calculation along with the display. It was normally a few tenths off and once the display was close to one mpg to high. So I trust it pretty much, either way though it was a nice benefit to the trip seeing those numbers. :happy0180:

It is a good general gauge for me, but I have seen mine off by as much as 1.7mpg (generous).

I've seen cars covered in the usual 3M stuff, and it's always been noticeable to me, especially the line where the film ends and the paint starts, so I decided not to get that even though it was a few hundred dollars cheaper for the exact same coverage.

I went with Xpel and it is so worth it. You literally have to get within a few inches of the material to see the edge of it where it ends, and it doesn't have any texture or orange peel effect to it at all. It is crystal clear with a perfect, smooth finish. No one has so far noticed it on my car unless I tell them specifically where to look.

Plus I got a few dings and scratches on the Xpel after driving it for a few days, and it looked like quite a bit of damage. I left it parked in the sun for a few hours, came back, and all the scratches and dings were gone! The material has self healing properties and doesn't yellow over time either. I love it!

Hope that helps.

Rubbed that curve on the upper-rear quarter panel and whispered "wild thing, you make my heart sing" as I passed by.

crazy! i average 27.6-7 so far and im at 1280. just disconnect the battery terminal so all my settings went away. let's see what i can get to in the next 520 miles

on another note... today i actually had the dealership change my oil (at 1250 they were a little hesitant). i would have done it sooner but eh, i got lazy. but hey it's free and needed to be done. tires rotated and balanced too so another spiff.

got home and installed my injen sri that came in today:

funny enough i never disconnected the battery when we installed my invidia n1 not sure if it's needed or not. but after i started the car up everything is much more enjoyable. the butt dyno is definitely feeling a difference (albeit minor).

great sound and throttle response and overall drive-ability are exactly what everyone says about injen. great performance piece for the money i'd say.

my unichip was suppose to be in today but some mishap with fedex has delayed it's arrival

it does, thanks for your reply. Im always looking for a good way to protect my car but always hated the 3m tape thing although im sure it works well at protecting paint! If I can see it then its a nono lol.
