What I do know/can say is that this was last night, and they are really dialing in the P&L car. I don't want to steal their thunder when it's officialy announced, but they have made major improvements to their vehicle that will make automatic owners very happy.

One of the things JR has one is more power on less boost (compared to a previous tune).

I'm guessing that's the folder that was made when JR started dynoing their BRZ, and just kept new logs in the same folder to keep it all together.

Those pulls where from last night. The folder is from when the FI was first tuned on e85, so pulls where just made in that run folder.

Car is currently running around at this power level, I'm not one to turn it up for a Dyno pull.. If the car cannot comfortably sustain the power I am not going to "try it" for even 1 glory pull.

I have been asked for months to tune these cars and really had no interest in them as I have a very heavy tuning load. Given certain circumstances I bit the bullet and have actually been developing and testing maps on both FI-Na platforms before I even offer any services. You can ask whitefrs, I wouldn't tune his car until I am 1000% confident in my ability with the software. The platform being higher compression and di really don't make a difference to me. I've tuned plenty of actual high compression platforms as well as a few other DI platforms, not to mention boxer engines for over 10yrs including the fastest boxers in North America. It's more just a learning curve of the software and better insight into how the ecu is implementing the port - di systems. I don't like blindly changing tables and making a "test run"

Basically I don't want to practice on customers cars, I rather own the platform or have very direct access to one via a shop car.

Hope this clears up some questions as to my experience and or background

He also was working on my NA 93 tune this week (in conjunction with P&L) and got me up to 191 hp. It's not 100% yet however and needs just a little more tweaking to be ready.

The customer can give his judgement after the testing when he purchases the tune. You might say that is a risk but so is handing over said car to get experimented on. Why would Jr or us as a shop risk anything on a customer car and potentially ruining our reputations instead of being able to offer a bang on product from the getgo and take the risk for you?
