Forgive my ignorance about American insurance, but when you say 'full coverage' and list the 3 different values, what does that mean?

In Canada, everyone has to have liability insurance, and the minimum is $1 million. A lot of people I know opt for 2 million and also have an additional $1million (total $3 million) umbrella policy if they spend a lot of time driving in the US because of you litigious nature.

Sounds like we're wasting our money because your own insurance policies aren't half so well funded...

My family still bundles car insurance but as far as I know that's the only thing we might get discounts for.

I'm 29 and have a perfect current driving record (2 tickets when I was 17 and a failure to yield ticket over 5 years ago).
Insurance company is Grange.
2013 Limited BRZ
With a $500 deductible and full coverage (including GAP) I pay $216 / 6 months.
I live in Ohio.

Yikes, that's really, really high. In the US I think the minimum required insurance is around $300k for liability - possibly less?

My BRZ's coverage is $250k/$500k/$100k for damage to others (individual/total incident/property)
$250 deductible for collision, $0 for comprehensive (vandalism, glass, etc)
Liberty Mutual is my carrier (switched to them in February). I have the following discounts:
-Early Shopper
-New Move
-Electronic Funds Transfer
-Multi-policy
-Multi-car
-LM Advantage

I don't even know what half of those mean
I pay $890/year for the BRZ

33 year old single male, Raleigh, NC 2703 zip code. Car is garaged. I have 2 single vehicle at fault accidents currently on my record (claims of $1500 and $4500)

When I switched from the S2000 to the BRZ my cost went up like $5-6/mo

75/month, Allstate

26yo, full coverage, 1k deductible.

I also have my other car insured with them, as well as my home. So i'm sure that helps bring down my rate.

$129 Canuck bucks per month for $1MM 3rd party liability, comprehensive coverage ($1,000 deductible).
In comparison, my 2002 Celica GT cost about $2,300 per year.

25 here, my insurance is ridiculously high, almost 3k for a whole year. Is there any recommendations on how to get this lower with another company, etc.?

Shop around. Your current company is never going to give you the best deal. I shop every year on my birthday and I've switched every time.

Thanks! Good idea. I was hoping to keep it under 2k a year at least. Clean record, I've had my license for 8 years. I would have thought it would be a lot cheaper.
