Did you really say the Cayman had a V6? Turn in your car enthusiast badge right now. It's a flat six boxer.

Just want to throw this out there:
I purchased a 2012 2.0T Gen Coupe in June 2011. Yes, Hyundai is stepping up and making better cars..sort of. After the first year in my Gen Coupe I was tired of it already. There was a constant dash rattle that the dealership could not fix. The car never really felt "solid". You can tell it was cheaply made. The driver seat had a loose panel that was unfixable since day 1 of owning the car. The AC was terrible! If it was above 80 degrees outside it would take about 20 minutes of highway time before the AC was semi-cool, not even cold. I took it to the dealership within the first week and they were unable to fix the loose driver seat, and I was told that they could not locate the dash rattling. Also, the AC was functioning properly according to them. It's funny how when I traded it for my BRZ and the Subaru guy test drove my Gen Coupe he straight up asked me, "Is your AC broken?" I can't tell you how many loose bolts that car had. Also, my rear speaker crackled from day 1 as well. Had to get a whole new rear speaker within the first 2 weeks of owning my Gen Coupe. The list goes on and on. Point I want to make is this, I've had my BRZ for 2 months now and every single day has been amazing with this car. There's never a time that I don't turn around and take a second look at my BRZ before going inside. I could care less about HP and 0-60 times. We all have the same speed limits on the highway and I'm not living my live 1/4 mile at a time. I'm 28, I work, I go out with friends, and I live a regular life. BRZ > Gen Coupe easily. In the end, the quality of the car will show itself. Hyundai was showing problems from day 1, and you can't fix quality by adding more HP. |

I want to add this as well. I had a 6 speed MT Gen Coupe. I currently have a 6 speed MT BRZ. I have not changed the way I drive whatsoever, and my average MPG with Gen Coupe 2.0T was barely 22.
The 2 months with the BRZ I still manage to stick around 26-27 MPG. In my Gen Coupe (17 gallon tank) I could barely get 370 miles out of a full tank, which cost me about $54 (regular unleaded) to fill up. In my BRZ (13 gallon tank) I get about 340 miles out of a full tank, which costs me $45 of Premium. Those 4 extra gallons in the Gen Coupe should give you a lot more than just 30 more miles on a tank vs the BRZ. Just one more thing to love about switching over to a much better vehicle.
