Not sure of the build date, but I took delivery July 16/2012, right around 30k km's now. The only issues I've had are:

Chirping/crickets, not always there and I barely notice it except with the windows down, music off and in a garage.

Tail light condensation, right tail was replaced under warranty about a month ago.

Window switch in drivers door, intermittent issues with the passenger window auto down/up. It's quite infrequent, and never happens when I have time to go into a dealer to get it warrantied. I'll worry about it more closer to 60k km's.

My car was produced in May 2013. I bought it in June 2013 and one month later I have the cricket noise. Today I got a new surprise, HIGH idling in neutral. The car only has 600-ish miles. This is really bad...

3 / 13 build date. I've had the rattle / noise from the rear shelf and at one point it threw a CEL. I cleared it myself and it hasnt' come back after more than 1,000 miles. I'm not terribly thrilled by the range of the "keyless" system and changing the battery hasn't helped that issue either. Just one of those things it seems like.

Driving the car... awesome... just awesome. I've never had a vehicle that I'd just leave the house to drive, or spent time on Google Earth looking for likely places to play with it. Feels like a comfortable, luxury equipped go kart!

I get about 50-75 feet line of sight? My mini used to be like 10 feet.

I'm getting like 10 feet... maybe. A quarter of the time I have to remove the key from my pocket for it to work, and sometimes it won't let me start it with the key in my pocket (sitting in the car).

Feb/Mar 2013, had the crickets (replaced), more crickets, grinding into 4th and 5th, and a bit of a rough idle. Aside from that, it's all minor stuff like speaker buzz.

May 2013 build date, picked up car first week of July. Currently put on 800 miles or so. No crickets yet, but two annoying rattles: one sounds like it's from the front driver's door speaker (plastic on plastic 'tapping' on uneven roads), and a high frequency buzzy rattle at highway speeds on concrete roads either from the headliner or somewhere in the dash.

Same here. I couldn't spot where the rattle is but I hear it all the time. 04/13 build date.

I don't have my car with me right now, but last 4 of the vin are #4221. Any insight on what the build date might be.

Car has 3200 miles. Bought it in March but had 230 miles on it.

I have crickets on and off, package tray rattling, swear I hear popping in the intake at cold starts.

Edit: 03/13 build date

Build date: 01/13
Miles: ~6500

Condensation in both DRLs. Yet to have checked (since I got it?)*
Bumper on one side separating next to headlight* (Since i got it, getting worse)*
Passenger side door speaker cover rattles pretty bad (am going to get JPM alcantara, will fix if needed then) (Since I got it.)
Dash Rattle (Went away on its own after about a week or two) (Around 3500 miles?)
Homelink Mirror fell off (~5.5-6k)
Clutch Pedal creak sound (Maybe around 3-4k?)
On of the bolt the front undertray (the cheese grater one) just snapped as soon as I applied force to it to remove it. It felt like it was made of clay.
CRICKETS! (Since I got it?)

*I think these may be a result of the dealer's body shop removing the front bumper incorrectly to touch up chips in the paint from delivery.

I think that's it. And you know what? I still love it.
