I always get a nice, small blindspot mirror for my cars and stick em on my driver's side mirror...I care about safety, so I guess I'm a dork too....

the only problem with having your side mirrors adjusted outwords to cover your blind spots is that it making backin up/in using your mirrors incredibly more difficult.

for now I've just using the "swing head around and look out the back window" (very scientific term) method until I can think of a way to reverse with the mirrors set this way.

No aggression here.
I made the mistake of assuming that you were speaking of a law that has been active since 1934 (NFA).
(AWB)1994 which you are speaking has no restriction on length, which is the error I corrected.

The stock side mirrors are fine. They need to be adjusted to the point where you can't see the side of your car on each one. They pick up everything your rear view mirror does not.

Agreed, if you have blind spots, your side mirrors are not adjusted properly.

Set correctly, just as a car is leaving your rear view mirror, it will show up in the side mirror.

I've been using the 400mm broadway convex mirror in my cars for quite some time now and I love it. No blind spots and I now hate driving with out one.

I've always adjusted my side mirrors so I cant see my own car in them. I have to move slightly to the left or right to see my car. I always hate it when I get in someone elses car and I look in the side view mirrors and I can see the whole damn car.
