Okay here is a rule question: USDM Fog Lights which are now available. STX legal? Are they considered C&C? Safety? Or do they count as being from a dealer catalog?

They are from the Catalog, not the TRD (performance) catalog, so I think you're fine.

Plus, I doubt anyone could argue that fog lights gave you a performance advantage.

Out of curiosity, would a lightweight flywheel and CF driveshaft be STX legal?

I'm going to end up in one of the Street mod classes eventually with the blower, but in the interim I wanted to try out a lightweight driveline.

no and no. Not sure if the driveshaft is even SP legal.

You could definitely use them under C&C.

They are a manufacturer option so they are even Stock legal.

I submitted a letter as well regarding oil coolers a few months ago. Hopefully they will change the rule. It offers no benefit other than engine longevity.

I frequently run time trials as well as autocross STX.

What is the status of your letter?

So I'm autocrossing on the OEM Bridgestone all-season tires right now, until the stars align and I can afford wheels and tires. I am pretty new to autocross and suspension setups in general,so for now I've just gone at this with totally stock setup. However, I'm getting some wear on the outside edge of my front tire tread, which I know is b/c the tread is rolling over somewhat and my terrible driving is causing this segment to rub against the ground.

I want to avoid that (no crap, really? :P ) so I am looking at getting an alignment done with camber bolts. My question for you guys is, how far should I go with the camber to maintain daily-driver status (i.e. not waste my tires in 5000 miles on camber wear) while still protecting the tire from the wear I have been experiencing? Ideally, this adjustment will remain legal for STX, and if it doesn't I might just supercharge the damn car

What kind of tire pressure are you running? Street tires like those I will normally fill to about 40 PSI and work my way down. I don't think that the crash bolts add a large amount of camber, under 2 degrees for sure. Max them out and run 0 toe in the front and 1/32 toe in at the back. Next event with that setup start at the high pressure and work down till you find a balance and tire roll that is right.

I have ran about 2 degrees in my WRX on 380 tread wears for about 25k miles with a bit of toe out in the front too. Depends alot on the surface your region runs on as well with tire wear.

Camber bolts are definitely STX legal and should give you somewhere between -1 and -1.5 degrees of negative camber in the front. Go ahead and max out what the camber bolts will give you. Even at -1.5 it won't produce a ton of camber wear for daily driving. I've been daily driving/autocrossing with front camber bolts for over a year and the majority of my tire wear is still on the outside edge of the tire.

SubiePig's advice on tire pressure is very good and should also help with easing the amount of wear the outside edge of your tires get.
