There's a whole mess of varying opinions here. Looks like making a couple of versions is needed.

Somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but its really not an expensive setup.

Nigel has actual GT86 lights for $2300 for the pair, we all know genuine OEM parts are WAAAAY more expensive then they really should be. I'm drawing the line at $1000 for the set...fingers crossed
What exactly do you think a servo is?

$2300 a pair ummm take another look its 2700 a pair for what you actually NEED to run them correctly...lets take a look at the BRZ headlights that cost 673? a piece...with no ecu and such...still think $1000 is going to happen? Maybe with no bulbs or ballasts...everyone wants something for nothing. You get what you pay for in this game. Buy cheap stuff get cheap stuff, simple as that. If you find a deal that seems to good to be true more then likely it is because A its stolen B its crap. Their price point is going to be based on the market and the only competition are those two lights all they have to do is beat that price and make a quality product to get business.

I think they buy a license from the manufacturer to be able to sell OEM replacements. At least I think that is they way it goes. Now there are small companies making OEM style diffusers but I think they come from China where there is not such thing as intellectual property.

I am not 100% on that but I think that is the way it works. I may very well be wrong as I see knock off OEM spoilers on ebay but once again I think they come from China.

FRS owners seem to forget that us BRZ guys need turn signals in our headlamps, so please keep that in some capacity (whether on the unit or as an option).

Thats a good point...wouldnt be terrible to have the DRL strip function as both a DRL and a turn signal...could always make the lower light a flasher only...or a DRL like the BRZ...

Why would a BRZ want to change their headlights, j/k. They at least get the same headlights as everyone else as opposed to us FR-S owners who got the crappy us version of the headlights.

True, getting these would be less of an upgrade for us, but an upgrade nonetheless. I was just chiming in, I don't plan on changing mine. Have plenty of other things to spend money on.

If a BRZ did change it the could sell the factory lights for more than then ones they bought lol. Are the HID ballast integrated into the BRZ headlights? If so not sure these would even work.

Option #3 = $2320. You could spend $2700 with the leveling ecu, but this kit most likely won't come with those, so i didn't compare the two.

My point was the servo would cost almost nothing and is part of the projector.

I'm not trying to start an argument, i was just saying that it shouldn't cost as much as OEM GT86 or even close. Bi xenon projectors are $150/pair, LED's are extremely cheap now days, and they should be sold without bulbs/ballasts (or as an option). Yes I understand that making the housing is relatively expensive and R&D isn't cheap, but it shouldn't cost more then about $500(once the R&D is done) to make a pair of headlights like this.
