Unfortunately you have to buy the ECUTek cable, which runs about 2-300. Another reason I said you could borrow one lol.

Tuner licenses are up near $10,000. While vehicle license is 200-300. If you want to have the ability to have a licensed tuner tune your car you can purchase through a number of vendors. Two common ones are Visconti & FA20Club. I would recommend FA20Club personally for a cable & license. But you will still need to find a licensed tuner to adjust your ECU. Currently ECUTek does not allow users to re-tune their ecu's them selves and all ecu tunes are encrypted and un-readable to end users. You may want to look into BRZ Edit if you want to tune your own vehicle.

Yes each vehicle needs a unique license, regardless of whose cable you are using.
