I completely think it is on BeSpoke to make their crap compatible to the iPhone5. It is rather ridiculous that it is not. I would be pissed too.

While I hate the HU, the Bluetooth works fine for my android, I'm not really interested in the NAV considering my android has it built in. I just wish there was an app for the android system.

More specifically, the headunit needs an iPhone 4s or earlier in order for Pandora or the navigation app to work. Toyota/Scion aren't supporting the new iPhone 5 platform nor working to expand their app into different smartphone environments. This can be seen as some sort of breach of faith that the headlining would continue to work for for the reasonable life of the car, or at least for the duration of a normal warranty period.

Even more specifically than that, I'm not sure that the iOS limitation of the headunit were ever fully explained during the sales process.
An iphone 5 with pandora installed works fine for me, its only the nav on the Bespoke app that doesn't work correctly.

I never use the shitty bespoke app anyway.

I'm pretty sure this website reported the iphone 5 not working before the car came out, or within the first few weeks of it coming out.

Normally I agree with you but I am going to point the finger straight at Scion and BeSpoke in this case.

Reason? Because they never even made a Android app. Clear indication they were putting absolute zero effort into support for this thing.

FTR though I did not want BeSpoke and was able to get the dealer to reduce the price of the vehicle.

I already bought my 2014 HU and sold my 2013 one. Would have been nice to have the option though.

Very true, a lot of the new Apple products that are claimed to work well in a BMW, never do. I was sick of all the complaints we'd get over bluetooth, bluetooth audio with the I Phone's. You'd get an awesome repair order with gravy repairs....then that last line. C/S Bluetooth Audio does not work, customer has I Phone....that would ruin your day!

Updated my Pandora and now it shows what I'm playing through the Bluetooth with android. My phone also updated so i can't exactly say why it works now if its just the the updated app or the new update for my phone.

I would still hope that they would at least offer an exchange program

Edit: it wouldn't show song data before these updates with the Pandora app
