Just speaking from my own experience I've owned multiple sets of different brands of aftermarket wheels over the years. I'm in no way easy on my cars when it comes to potholes, speedbumps, etc. I've unfortunately had bending and cracking issues along the way at one point or another with the exception of 2 sets of wheels. The first of which were my forged BBS RGR's on my WRX which lead to the next set of BBS RGR's on my BRZ now. These wheels have been unbelievably strong and dependable through all 4 seasons withstanding hits that have literally sent a shock through my spine. Both of my cars were on KW coils so perhaps the damping abilities helped as well but these wheels have never let me down and will always be my first choice for their lightweight (18.3lbs for 18x8.5) and durability.

I think knockoffs are cool for racing purposes, and instances where a certain wheel isn't offered in the size/offset you need. Still I like originals when possible.

You can get real wheels without breaking the bank e.g. Gram Lights, Enkei, Traklites (?).

I don't hate on people with them though.
Personally I'm running reps right now (which specifically are wheels that aren't offered in 5x100 plus they were really cheap).

Bought Enkei RPF1's. It was a great price for a quality product.

i consider wheels as an accessory, I wouldn't want my girlfriend to rock fake Louis Vuitton or Gucci Bags, its just embarrassing (IMO). If you cant afford it, theres nothing wrong with that. Alot of people think its a waste of money, but dont fake it if you're going to get something :happy0180:

I'm confused, are you saying you don't like fake tits? I see them as a much better accessory then some purse when I'm paying to tune my GF.

Instead of buying a GF shit thruout the year, don't buy her anything, wait three years if she's still around slap a pair of tits in her and a ring... Purses, clothes, electronics, jewlery, flowers, over a 3 year period it adds up... If she's still around, that's a very independant woman, and well worth keeping... It's slapping the tits on that will be a bit complicated, like broaching the subject in the first place...

I never said that lol. I'm just saying I didn't make the comparison from tits to wheels. I was comparing wheels to Bags as they are both accessories. I think tits would be like a wide body kit lol

In my mind I see wide body kits as what happens to a woman that doesn't excercise after marriage... Hense the idea of dating athletes who love what they do for excercise, ie runners, swimmers, bicyclists... And there's the problem, one of the issues with being that athletic is the boobs suffer for it... Along come the fake tits that are immune to excercise. If you know an athlete with big tits, something is fake, IE they don't run that much, or they have fake tits.

Your welcome btw for me sharing my narrow minded views.

I was going to say those aren't "Champion" wheels (thinking it was a brand) they're DY wheels, but then I noticed who was posting?

Also people arguing the definition of "fake wheels". The "knock-off" wheels term can be confused with this.

hmmm. which wheel of ours is a dead ringer for something else? Please enlighten us Because if its not a dead ringer, its like saying bell bottom jeans now were a copy of the bell bottom jeans in the 70s when clearly there are differences... Bottom line is that styles always recycle itself out and with the prevalence of so many wheel styles out there, its easier to label a brand as a copy... Case and point, do some research and look at some of the old Rays wheel line up and you will see "copies" of BBS, Lorinser, and other european brands. But in those cases, Rays put their own touches on a general design to make it their own.. Sure, it looks very similar to another but to label them as copy would just be somewhat callous... So, just because you think it looks like something doesnt mean its a copy...
