And, forgive this question but I don't know much about this stuff.... I know the camera will now come on when you go into reverse, but is the camera on all the time with this power tap? IF so, is that a bad thing?
Hey sorry I missed your question.

The 3rd photo shows where I tapped the red (I think it's red and grey- you'll have to double check) 12v wire in the Headunit harness. That black cylindrical thing is a posi-tap which is connected to the red wire you see in the middle of the pic with the white label "ACC" on it.

As for the camera, I believe it is on all the time but I don't think it's a problem for the camera. I may be wrong on this however as it has been a while since I looked all this up.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info.

Hi TSY,

I like your camera setup. If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me if I need any additional adapter in order to install this Kenwood camera to the BeSpoke unit in my FRS? Thanks again!

I'm not sure about the FRS BeSpoke unit, for the Subaru Fujitsu headunit I got the adapter from SVXdc which has a video RCA input that the Kenwood camera simply plugs into.

I don't know if the FRS has a video in? The Kenwood's video input is pretty standard.

Hope this helps some- Good luck!

Depends on your camera. some of them need to go through a drilled hole. This camera it was not necessary although I did file a tiny notch for the cable, but it wasn't necessary.
