since i happen to own a galaxy s4 ill chime in. i do like it but it isnt perfect, for some reason it lags like a mofo when using the gallery app and sometimes when i hit the home button it acts as if i long pressed it. also the 16Gb onboard mem is ~8-9Gb usable but i think the One is like that too. the S4 is kinda slippery without a case.

I've yet to notice any of that... as for the usable space... that's with every phone, as the OS takes a huge chunk of space... but even with a 16GB card, I've yet to hit the limit, and I have 200 pics, and almost 800 songs on my SD card and still have 5GB available on my 16GB SD.

No CM. Use AOKP! I swear, I'm not biased :p

AOKP on the S4 is pretty much flawless now.

@ProTekk sounds good i also want some free tethering, would AOKP allow me to do that? my phone is already rooted but i cant get the free tethering apps to work.
@luis i have a 64Gb card with several gigs of movies and ~6600 songs, working on getting more pics but maybe that's why mine behaves funny.

I tried both AOKP and CM on my old Note... didn't like them... I really like touchwiz and won't let it go for any custom rom...

A friend of mine, who is a manager at AT&T, swore by the HTC One since he was able to acquire it months before it actually released. If you ask him now, he'd rather have the S4. According to him, battery life on the HTC drains super fast. Things could have changed now though. It's been more than a month since we last spoke.

I have the HTC One and it's the best phone I've ever owned. I previously owned 3 Samsungs and made the switch and happy I did. Speakers and video recording are fantastic.

I got the S4, haven't regretted it. The smaller speaker on the S4's back puts out crisp sound. HTC's fanboy slogan should say "Get the HTC, because I know what I'm talking about and I will harass you until you agree with me." I've tried having civilized discussions with those people, it didn't work they were always rude and obnoxious. I quit trying to reason with them. Just like the iPhone fanatics, craniums firmly inserted into the rectum with no chance of seeing the light.

I have an iPhone currently...LOL! And I think it's a great phone. But I feel like its nothing new. I think most people just like to defend their decisions. It happens everywhere and with everything

I got the HTC One the first day it came out coming from a Samsung Infuse. From my personal experience I REFUSE to ever go back to Samsung. I have no regrets with this phone everything is running flawlessly! I have dropped it a couple of times without the case on and there are no dents just a couple of scratches on the silver trim part. This phone really is simply amazing. I could go on about this phone but i'm not. Simply choose the phone that best suits you!:happy0180:

I'm sure the HTC feels nice because it's metal but the HTC fans need to relax and stop harassing people just because they like something different. My S4 is my first Samsung so I will have a learning experience. So far the only "gimmick" that hasn't worked was the swipe answering, maybe I don't have it set up right who knows.

S4 all the way! Bought the HTC Mytouch 4g when it was first released and the Galaxy has held it's value much better than my HTC... You'll probably get much better customer support with the Galaxy S4 in case anything does happen down the road. My brother was able to get Samsung to repair his Galaxy S2 that he bought nearly two years ago.
