Are you debating what header to purchase?
Not sure if this was aimed at me. Right now i can't afford a header but i will soon hopefully, so i am trying to absorb as much info on various brands as i can. There aren't many people who have tried multiple headers on their car let alone going UEL to EL. So any driving impressions would be great to hear

I'm not tuned yet just bc it's busy at the shop. I'd like to ASAP though.
Just like everyone has mentioned in other header threads, performance on both are awesome. But it also depends on if they want the rumble sound. I do love the rumble sound

Btw, way less rasp with resonated pipe.

Unless it's a got a turbo to quieten it down I think aftermarket headers make cats, resonators and mufflers essential. It's a cool car and easy to spoil with the wrong sound, but the right sound brings it alive.
I bet a HF cat in downpipe would shut the rasp up and make it easier for people in the cars behind to breath too.

There's like no rasp now with the resonated pipe. It actually sounds quite nice like that. I'm sure when I put on the hfc it'll make it throatier.

But definitely UEL for me...

That's good. I take it the resonator is the one in the midpipe?

What I lke about the EL header, apart from the optimum flow characteristics, is that it sounds like the engine is doing 7,000rpm but with the UEL it only sounds like 3,500rpm. That was very apparent with the Borla comparison clips.
I loved the sound of those but how could you take it on the roads?

The UEL header I like is the one with a subtle difference in the lengths. Just enough to hear the signature boxer note but not so pronounced that it sounds like a V4 with bad headers.

Yes, indeed. I do like the fine sound of the EL on this. And you're right about the UEL. At least with the REV WORKS UEL, it has a great rumble. Pretty damn loud rumble to turn heads everywhere you go. @John92 with borla UELs, his are pretty loud as well. Overall, UEL is my prefrence. EL has awesome flow and just seems more fluid.

While down there, installed perrin tranny spt and rear shifter kit. No motors mounts at this time. Too much work.

no clearance issues. If you need to you can give me the dimensions of your radiator on your car and I can take some measurements too for ya.
