Meh 23, so/so record from Honda/Yota days in Florida and cops don't give me a second look. Radar detector has saved me a few times but overall I'm cautious until I get to my back road playground.

I haven't gotten a ticket yet *knocks on wood* but I've had a few close calls. Just today, I was turning right onto a street and noticed a car was fast approaching in my lane so I sped up to match their speed and accelerated pretty hard, making the engine kinda roar...then i noticed to my right a cop pulled someone over already and was in the middle of writing up a ticket. He looked up, stopped what he's doing and stares hard at me and looked really pissed off. He probably wanted to get me but the only thing is, i wasn't even speeding per say - i was right under the limit of 40 and only accelerated hard. I am sure he would've pulled me over anyway to give me sh*t because, well, racecar.

I've had my Firestorm FR-S 2 days now and i got pulled over this morning for not using my turn signal. Absolutely zero traffic on a 4 lane road but a cop got me for not putting my blinker. He gave me a warning since i wasn't speeding but he admitted his actual reason was to look at the car. Cool cop i guess but the FireStorm Red might be a cop magnet ^_^

Already have a $500 radar detector but its useless against lasers...gonna take the plunge and drop like a grand on a laser jammer (ny troopers are 90% lasers now, ka is almost useless)..

No tickets yet, got hit with a laser doing 71 in a 55 but I sped up and got off at the exit that was nearby before he was able to pull out in traffic.

Lidar, to be specific. Also, they love using Pop-radar too. I had a V1 before I got rid of it, it would go off, but it's too late, you've been had. Got a ticket by a trooper on rt 81 for 80 in a 65. Thankfully a fellow programmer at work is friends with a guy who knew the district attorney, so the ticket was thrown out. At any rate, I use the cruise & a light foot now. It was different back when K & Ka were all they used, but laser/pop-radar on a clear day and you're done.

in the GS350 yesterday cruising @ 80mph and a cop flew by me going atleast 90-100mph WHOA! that was crazy. i bet he wanted to get to the donut shop before it closed lol
that car is gonna get me in trouble before the FRS does

work for a pizza place and have a topper. it's helped me so far.

though, we did have a dude get pulled over with the topper on, but he was going 58 in a 35. i'm supprised he didn't go to jail for that shit. he was delivering to me, too. lol

Hmm, I would say my tip is stay out of the left lane and hide behind other traffic lol but an FRS/BRZ stand out as a radar target to any trooper

I look at tickets as a way for the city to make money, not necessarily to correct you from making mistakes.

The way I see it at least here in LA, its not a matter of if, but just a matter of time before you have to pay the city. Its statistics.
