the sandwich plate will work as normal. things look a lot tighter in the pics than they actually are. the lines will come out underneath of the intake pipe. the cool thing is that all of the piping is on the driver's side of the car (no intercooler pipe on the passenger side), so any oil cooler that will fit a stock car should bolt up without interference (except maybe perrin, but i wouldn't put it in front of the intercooler anyway).

Today was crazy hot here in Florida, so I went ahead and did some logging of temperatures. Ambient temp was reading 104deg from the sensor, 98deg outside temp. Just driving around the city stop and go, as i normally would.

let me know if the image is broken again

Does the turbo sit on the painted section between the fans? Looks really close in the pictures.

the blanket touches it, because the blanket is much wider and bigger around than the actual turbine housing. with the blanket off there is more clearance.

Looks good. Interesting to see how that V band housing flares out for the V band.

here's a quick video i grabbed this afternoon. just a quick run from 50-90mph. still at 7psi boost. the tuning should be wrapped up tuesday, then i'll install the new clutch and turn the boost up to 10-12 psi. also have a 2.75 front pipe on the way to eliminate the stock cat.

Who makes the 2.75 inch front pipe? I'd like to go with the greddy evo 3 exhaust so it would be nice to have a full 2.75 inch exhaust instead of mix and match with 2.5 inch piping. Nice pull too by the way!

two companies make them, j2 engineering and ultimate racing. j2 is much lower quality from what i hear, but also much cheaper ($100 shipped). the ultimate racing one comes with a 2.75" front pipe as well for ~$400 shipped.

i just went with the j2 for now because i plan to do a full 3" exhaust in the future, and i won't mind replacing a $100 part later on.

Yeah good point, $100 isn't bad for a temporary setup.. I plan on going turbo too but I figured 2.75 inch all the way through would be fine for a couple years around 400 horsepower. A full 3 inch would definitely leave room to grow so that could be an option too

The more I see of this setup the more I want to turbo the car. The fact that Rev Works is a 15 minute drive from my house doesn't help my urge either.

Just do it. It's worth it, makes the car much much more fun to own, and if you let them handle the work its completely painless. There really is no downside. Car drives like stock until you hammer it. I still get 30+mpg highway lol. This is by far the best mod money I've ever spent, and I've owned a lot of aftermarket turbos in my day. It just completes the fr-s. this car was meant to be fast.
