The only people who will love the FRS is the people not seeking 300whp+ for 4k. The aftermarket will be stronger for those content with only wanting a extra 20-40 chp like me.

You are joking right? So, your summation of having an aftermarket is the # of turbo engines users have? As Dave said, there are PLENTY of F/I applications for the S2k. And there are turbo Miata's as well as Supercharged ones hitting the track all the time. I think you need to do a little more research. You could fit the size of the GC's Aftermarket parts (2.0T and V6) inside of the aftermarket backing for the Scion tC. It's just not there bro. The Stage upgrades for the 2.0t....really? What's the highest hp a 2.0t Stage takes you up to? |

For S2ks just for boost the cheapest I've seen was a home built setup with around 1500 in parts (I could be off on this price, that's the number I recall but it's been many many years). Most are running the kits that were anywhere from 3.5-5k IIRC (it's been 2.5 years or so since I've been involved with S2000s).
Miatas can be done anywhere from very cheap (junkyard setups, home built setups) to very expensive (5k or whatever they are these days flying miata setups). The cheapest good setup I've seen on a Miata was a homemade water to air IC, junkyard but rebuilt turbo and one of the cheap EMS systems (I can't remember which). Made about 250 at the wheels and total cost was ~1200 including all the piping, etc. All home bent/welded, etc.
