It completely made sense. The answer is no. They just make sure to REALLY dry the edges with a heat gun. Never had an issue.

Depends where you live. I wont do tints at all because cops in NJ really love to pull over tinted cars, and there's no allowable tint if you dont have medical issues, except for rear windshield and those tiny rear windows in NJ.

It somewhat depends on what you want the tint to accomplish.

Privacy? Generally, have to go dark. Ceramic not important.
Heat rejection? Ceramic almost required. You can try Llumar Air Blue 80 (80% VLT, 43% heat rejection)
Looks? Up to you, obviously.

yea same here, my windows are always down, but i decided to get crystalline this time just to keep from being hassled and still keeping maximum heat reduction.
