TINT levels

I'm about to get my windows done this week and I'm trying to figure out the best front/back tint level so it's dark enough but minimize the hassle from cops.

Any recommendations?

I mean, there's nothing like having peace of mind from the police by not having tint. Police wishes every soul driving a car to have tint on their car because it gives them a reason to pull them over, trust me. I guess it is a matter of if you want the peace of mind or not. I have limo tint on my rear window and rear quarters and 35% in the front with a windsheild strip. Knock on wood I have not gotten pulled over once and I've had all of my cars tinted the same. If you go light on the tint, I don't think you're gonna like the look or feel of it. What I mean by that is the amount of protection from the sunlight. Tint is personal preference and how much you can tolerate. Choose at your own risk, I guess... If you were to ask me, I'd say do whatever you want, but use your best judgement. And if you just don't care how dark you go, I won't pass judgement

I went 30% all around. I think that's the fine line between being hassled by cops and them leaving you alone. I'll post pics when I get the chance.

Yes please post. I am also looking to tint but not sure what percent. Day time pics would be appreciated. Thanks!

I did 30% ceramic tint which ends up being light enough where you can still see in but you still benefit from the heat reduction

I went ceramic 30% all around as well. TBH it'll just depend where you are and how much of a **** the cop wants to be. Technically its pretty much illegal to have any tint on your windshield and front driver/passenger side windows

Lighting plays a factor. Another pic that was taken for reference.

I went dark all around. If you get harassed, it's probably for more than window tint.

I did 20 rear 30 front. Like on all my other cars. Never been hassled.

Exactly what I have. No issues yet with cops(knock on wood). I've run this combo on my last 3 cars. This is my 4th. Had one cop pull me over, but he gave me the choice between fixing the front plate or fixing the tint. Some double sided tape for a couple minutes "fixed" my front plate

hey bro, i'm kinda clueless at it but you know how the FR-S windows slide down and up automatically when opening the door? did your tints get affected since they tell you that you shouldn't roll the windows down for the first few days after installing the tints..

hopefully that question made sense.
