The superchargers boost is limited by the pulley not the bypass. The bypass is used for idle and light throttle cruising. Puts less drag on the motor since the supercharger is not being asked to compress air underneath it. It equalizes the pressure pre and post sc.

I just reread your original post...and clicked the links
![]() Failsafe monitors the water injector flow.... if water injection stop, the bypass is activated so that lack of water injection doesn't create a condition where you're boosting higher than you can without water, right? |

If the meth were to not flow properly, the failsafe protects your engine from knock. It limits boost to 2 psi. Even with ignition advanced (for the meth spray)... 2 psi will not blow your engine. My ecu map is also set to not advance timing untill at least 4.5 psi is seen and a certain amount of load is present. These conditions were selected because these are also conditions when the water meth is injecting. Last edited by sw20kosh; 07-05-2013 at 09:19 PM. |

With a W/M system, do you have two tunes; one with, one without? If you're not switching, how do you conserve your meth? Just stay off the loud pedal? |
