I am sure there are going to be a friend of a friends cousin's brother twice removed stories going around the internet. BMW did come forward and address the issue and extended the HPFP warranty. (That is what I meant about "non issue") The 335/135 (here lets break it down N54/N55 engines) are great I'm sorry he went to a car that has been in need of a major overhaul for a couple years.

The performance models are the ones that compare to the FR-S\BRZ, if and only if you are considering the GC VS the FRS\BRZ. A lot of people obviously are. But as stated, power is a problem that can be remedied after the fact. Then again, so is handling and at a certain point (because we aren't all ballin'ass'rich) you've gotta ask yourself which is more costly. At least that's my dilemma. Edit: to answer a question earlier, I had a Jackson Racing Supercharger on my SVT before I sold all my mods. (Just the regular JRSC kit, I decided to opt out of the Big Boost Kit for handling reasons) |

Like I have other cars on my list but those are the two I'm most concerned with atm. Other options being the 2013 Focus ST, e46 M3, 335i or 135i, 5.0 Stang, and 2013 WRX STI. But like I said I'm not too concerned with those, the only one I haven't driven is the ST and I told myself my next car wouldn't be Bigwheel status. |

You can not redesign the "mass" of the car, the chassis or the COG unless you significantly change it to like a tube chassis car. To which I doubt anyone will be doing. My current ride weighs 2550lbs and is 320whp/330wtq and I still pick the less powerful FR-S over a GC or a Mustang if that tells you anything about my ideas of power not being what it's about. My current car would destroy an FR-S or GC around a track. So, my opinion is not tainted by power whatsoever. I already have power, I need something else in that bowl of mixture and that is the daily poise of an FR-S to fill the stable. |

You totally missed the point of my post. On a side note: A guy with a Cayman S with 20 grand in it already....gave me the wave by at the track......just saying. Ps...Not a track car, I just track it. Still street legal and streetable with off the shelf parts...nothing special. |

so to be clear. you drive a car that is 170hp. It was 210whp ish, that was not necessary so you decided to sell your modes.. and now 200hp isn't enough?

i already have a 'fast' car. if i purchase the BRZ it will be my daily driver, replacing the duty of my 1984 car with no ac or heater, tons of squeaks and rattles, with something more civilized yet still fun to drive. so it's not all about power. but still, value is important. and 200bhp for 28k is not even remotely good value. (i want the brz limited) that's my personal dilemma |

Lemme clear a few things up because you're missing the point. My SVT is FWD and what I was running with an open differential made me a torque steering wheel hopping superstar. I sold my mods cause I got out of college, plan to sell the car, and at the time needed the cash. So, no I don't feel the 200bHP the FRS comes with stock is enough.
