I do believe you can fit Z32 turbo brakes (same caliper) with a redrilled bracket and a specific rotor...there's information on that on NASIOC though. That Legacy rotor is pretty goddamn beefy though.

Z32 calipers have much smaller pistons. 26mm or 30mm depending upon version.

So it definitely needs a spacer for the fronts then.

Why would you have less braking torque? And what is the Legacy front brake upgrade you speak of? :happy0180:

Theres an identical caliper; from what I recall it's the Z32 turbo caliper and also certain years of Skyline GTS.

And can someone explain why these would cause a reduction in braking torque?

The front would require spacers... for sure.. as I was going to trade the 4pots out on my daily to the BRZ..not sure how big a spacer...never got that far. Someone mentioned a 7mm .... maybe.. a 5mm might work.. I will try that when I have a chance.

Fronts I think are made out of Cast Iron.. not sure..it magnetic whatever they are made out of.. now the rears...non-magnetic.. I think are Cast aluminum...

Yep, my sentiments exactly. One of the other members said that they were aluminum and I believed that to be wrong. Thanks again for the confirm.

The pistons in these are smaller than in the stock calipers. Since the positioning is the same, the net result is reduced braking torque.

Mine do grab a magnet but barely. I even used a rare earth out of a computer hard drive, which are insanely strong. I think that possibly the pistons and internals are steel/iron with an aluminum outer?

I to be honest have no clue at this point.
