Haha yeah, not that there is anything wrong with it. It just makes me feel old. I work in the local school system, and a kid brought his laptop up to me with a question. He had microsoft word open and wanted to know what the square next to the save button was. It was the little floppy disk image. Then I had to explain what it was.

Just put me in a home with a dial-up modem and cheers reruns.

Hahah well I'm 26 for a few more days and I know all these things.. So don't feel too old! Just be concerned that it won't be long before these kids are your coworkers...

I'm glad this site is full of helpful members who can answer a question and leave it go rather than each taking a shot at putting others down.

Guys I think what he meant was since the car has a dead battery the keyless entry system is not working which means he can't open the hood because the release is inside the car. So, the trunk trick will do this for you OP.

eh, we weren't all born with all the knowledge of the Cosmos already embedded in our brains. I'll bet someone, some where once had to explain something to you that you didn't know before. Something they may have even thought was pretty obvious.

I'll admit I knew about the keyhole only because the interior button was pressed and the release didn't work. That was the day I bought the car (though I did look it up in the manual). Three months later I had completely forgotten about it and spent a good five minutes hunting after the dumb button got pushed again!

Got to admit that the location of the key had me looking for a bit when I went looking

I have not actually tried to engage the key in that awkward spot. Looks like it would be more convenient to just get a crow-bar and pry the damn thing open.
