Exclamation Dead Battery BUT Honk Horn and it Turns on Car

hey guys just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else or if you may know what happened... so i turn on my car, well i try to at least, in the middle of this tropical storm NY is getting now and it doesnt work. the battery light just flashes and car doesnt do anything... the dome light does but thats about it. i try and use my remote start and just the radio, radar detector and light go on and then shut off... i then honk my horn and BOOM all the gauges go on and everything but still no ignition start... i then try and use my remote start again to turn on the car and it works. i shut off the car and then use my key to start it and NOW it works. WTF !! what do you think may have happened ? is this a problem and i should have it checked out ? the car is fine now thank sweet jesus

Since you mention you have remote start, I would start by checking the wiring for that. Maybe a loose wire or bad module somewhere.

Sounds like alarm issue causing the ignition cut. Check out the alarm wiring.

I think what happened is you installed an aftermarket alarm. Personally, I think it is a problem and would have it removed versus just checked out.

the alarm was put on by the dealership... i have aftermarket stuff on the car but what would void the warranty of the alarm ?

I don't think that any of these items:

Automative Motion Bright White LED's on License Plate Dome Light and Trunk Light, HID_Powerhouse 6000K PlatinumR HID Kit, 20% Tint, Five Axis Spoiler

Would void the warrany on an aftermarket alarm.

It's your alarm. Mine acts up every once in awhile and kills my ignition. I pull the key back out, hit unlock (even though the car isn't unlocked) and it fires right up! Good luck!

Does not make a difference if dealer installed.

Check the Alarm.
