The Ultimate Racing 3" arrived late today and went on with minimal issues. Had to use different carriage bolts to connect to the front pipe and retain the springs. I will probably start a journal soon to document the journey but I can tell you that an aftermarket exhaust transforms the driving experience. Most of the performance cars that I have owned came with 8 cylinders and quickly received long tubes and tunes. I really felt something was missing never having owned a 4 cylinder car and the exhaust helps bridge the gap. Of course having boost will further close the gap!

TURBOS LOVE TO BREATHE. FACT.
I have done exactly that experiment numerous times and suspect FT86SF has too.

I know it goes against established interweb "fact", but under 350hp 2.5" piping can actually be preferable.

It can largely depend on whether it's being bent and welded by an artist or an ape.

No we are totally new to cars... Haven't been behind the wheel of 400+ HP Evos winning races. Or behind the wheel of FR-S's with 2.5" exhausts winning races...

Will a 3" eventually come in handy on this car with a large turbo? Yes. Will most people ever achieve those goals? No. 2.5 is plenty for 99% of owners and cheaper and will let enough flow through for any FR-S under 300WHP.

Whoa Whoa Whoa. When did this turn into a **** measuring contest?
Congratulations. You win.

Jokes aside.
My point was....

Adequacy vs Efficiency are different things.
I know 2.5 is adequate but 3" on the numerous turbo cars I have driven felt better in the top end.

The majority of them also had more than 2 liters of displacement.
So I could be wrong about all this.

Didn't think too much about the bends/welds. You sir, have a point.
