Yup. 90 days after the conviction you lose it for 7 days. Ridiculous. If they let you off with the minimum ticket, there is no suspension, but it's still over $250 to pay the fine. So if I get a ticket over the miminum (which they can give at, I believe, 11km over the limit) I'm out over $1500. If I'm in uniform I'll probably get let off or reduced to the minimum, but I have to be very careful where I choose to have some fun.

The majority of the time, CoG is changed it is changed along with some else (like stiffer lowering springs). It is the something else that is giving you the vast majority of the noted benefit. You have been tricked into thinking it is the cog.

the gen coupe isn't all that great. My 04 STi put those in shame in autox and on canyon roads.

I had a 3.8 GenCoupe with every option. Much like when I bought a G35 Coupe new back in '04, I really liked it. However, as time went on the little issues piled up. Still a decent car for the money, but definitely suffering from an identity crisis.

The BRZ just felt so much more defined as a sports car. It tries to be nothing that it isn't. And that's exactly what I like so much about it.

I said it before and ill say it again;

You can alway add power to a good chassis.
But you can't add a good chassis to power

Do you have some resources to back this up? I find it hard to believe that the effects are as small as you are implying. Nevetheless I look forward to being enlightened

As for why I got the BRZ compared to the Gen twin? I never could find a manual 3.8 to test drive and the dealer here in Chattanooga completely ignored me when I would come in looking for what I wanted. So, I never got to compare... But from what I heard the clutch would have been a HUGE pain point and I also imagine that the car would have had a "heavy" feel like a 370Z/G37. I like the light nimble feeling I get in the BRZ.
I agree. a co-worker just got a 2.0T 13 premium. I like the car overall. Nice, good looking(minus the fake hood vents and the ugly nose grill) and it seems quick. He is an old man(55) and was babying the car. When I bought my FR-S the 13 gen coupes just came out. I narrowed my choices between a 2.0T R-Spec and a FR-S/BRZ but I could not find them any where. Plus one dealer completely blew me off for the 2.0T Gen Coupe. So I ended up with the FR-S because I know now in one word racecar vs sporty car

Amen. The Subaru Engineer said the exact same thing. Tuners will always modify the heck out of their cars, but it's the job of the manufacture to make the base and chassis as good as possible. Something that can't be modified.

It's ok, I thrive in the fire. Would be nice if some brave souls joined in as fellow 86 ambassadors.

How many Corvette LS2 have been put in a Genesis chassis? on another note, I parked WAY out in a parking lot tonite, and when I was leaving, a Genesis was waiting for my "don't ding me bro" spot. Nonetheless I gave him a thumbs up, and he returned it. I enjoy all cars, but chose to drive the BRZ after much consideration. The reason I chose BRZ:

more like intruders. no point in going there starting shit. it'd be annoying if 5 gen guys came here just to bash our car and promote theirs.

my old roommate has a gen, he's a prick but the car is cool I guess. felt really numb IMO. no regrets getting the FRS. but that GCM or whatever the hell his name is at the gencoupe forum, is as e-thug and bench racing as they come. (claiming to drive just about every super car ever) psshhh

GCP? Yeah, he ended up promising to build intake and blow off valves for people, took their money, and then disappeared from the forum. Guy was a dirtbag.

And I really don't advocate joining another forum just to troll. Better to just let it go, it is a no win situation.
