We are not planning on discontinuing the oil cooler, we're just holding off on selling them again until we get this issue figured out with Mocal.

Jeremy, I got the label. I'll uninstall everything and get it mailed off to you tomorrow. I appreciate the help on the return.

Jeremy, I dropped the box off at a local Fedex shop this morning. Thank you again for the help. I'll be ordering from you in the future.

If anyone else winds up in a similar situation, it is actually a lot easier to just take off the bottom "splash guard" that the cooler mounts to, rather than removing the entire front clip. I wouldn't recommend doing this to install it, but for removal it is much easier.

For those wanting an oil cooler almost all the parts supplied with the Perrin kit are in stock and available through a single source at Racer Parts Wholesale for less. The only thing you won't find there are the specific feet that Perrin includes in the kit and the extra hose sheathing.

I have posted this in another thread, but I figured I would also include it here as well.

We have just received word from Mocal and they are expediting a batch over to use and it should be in our hands in about 2 weeks!

That means, we should hopefully have them ready to go a week after we receive them. They were also very alarmed at the failure rate we are seeing and are going to great lengths to take care of us, which in turn means take care of you, the customer!

Also, the oil coolers that are being sent out to us are their new version! They are going to be black vs the silver one we had originally.

Side note - If you have the oil cooler already installed on your vehicle and are afraid it's defective, simply let your car run for roughly 5 minutes and check for a leak. If there is no leak, then your oil cooler is good to go!

Will there be a increase in price because of the new cooler?

Is it still a mocal cooler or will it be the Setrab?

No, there will not be an increase in price of the oil cooler.

We are staying with Mocal as they are a great company!

You could always get a SETRAB oil cooler.
Very similar size and mounting brackets are identical.

We haven't had any issues with any of their oil coolers yet.

But that won't come prepackaged with Perrin stuff

Have any of you guys out there looked at something like this?

http://www.andysautosport.com/subaru...a00001541.html

For that price, maybe someone wants to try it out? Seems like it will do the job no?

I wonder if they offer it in black? For that price point, I'll give it a try (if they can do black). Not sure about all those 90 degree fittings though.

For that price, I would think you could paint it in rainbow if you wanted to or have it gold plated. Also those fittings are fairly cheap to source on their own no? I had no idea that there were, COMPLETE, kits out there for such cheap prices.
